The Classic Chop Craft Series

An exclusive series of masterclasses focusing on authentic and historically correct mid century classic haircuts and wet shaves. Each masterclass will walk you through one of the following styles:

Ø 5th April: SCUMBAG BOOGIE

Ø 3rd May: FLATTOP

Ø 7th June: EXECUTIVE CUT

Ø 5th July : POMPADOUR

Ø 2nd August: SLICKBACK

Ø 6th September: HOT TOWEL WET SHAVE

Master Barber and educator James Berry conducts this series of masterclasses hosted by Castro’s Barbershop and designed for the working barber who wishes to learn to execute accurate and detailed vintage classic haircuts. Each one and a half hour session will focus on a different service from consultation to styling and there will be opportunities to ask questions throughout. 

The classes will be limited to 10 attendees per class so learning is optimised. Each session is priced at £40 and will take place once a month at Bermondsey based Castro’s Barbershop. For those who wish to book the entire series, there will be a £40 discount so the whole series will cost £200 instead of £240. Pre booking is essential as places will be limited.

This series is aimed at barbers with any skill level who have an interest in learning about authentic vintage styles.

Each session includes a free Hiver beer.
