About the Event
The annual Malted Shake Christmas Special features Hostess Aisha Khan right at home with her superlative band the Rajahs and some very special guests. This year we are honoured to have the incomparable singer Jackson Sloan joining us. Jackson has built up a reputation as an exceptionally talented frontman. He has performed at many prestigious Rhythm & Blues and Rockin' festivals, clubs and dance events across the Globe and been a mainstay of the Roots music scene for decades.
Added to that, we are delighted to announce the Malted Shake debut of the melodious and lovely Hey Las, a three piece vocal harmony girl group, inspired by their favourite girl groups of the '50s & '60s. They perform a nostalgic soundtrack of hits, combining jukebox diner pop with sultry teen melodrama, dark Lynchian sounds and vintage glamour.
The icing on the cake is MC and DJ extraordinaire, Rohan Voo, playing his particular blend of cooler than thou Roots Music sounds.
